as said School Board may determine and as speedily as1 may
be, not later than July 1st, 1916, the present old school
buildings and the grounds appurtenant thereto, in Kensing-
ton, owned by said County and to add the proceeds or apply
the property derived from such sale or exchange to the
amount herein apportioned to the Kensington School; and if
ground be not obtained by such exchange said School Board
is further authorized to purchase suitable grounds therefor
and to erect thereon and equip a public school building for
white children in said town of Kensington; to purchase the
ground and erect thereon and equip a public school building
for white children in the village of Chevy Chase; and to
direct the Board of County Commissioners of said County
to pay for the same and. to borrow money for that purpose,
and to issue the bonds of said County for the money so bor-
rowed and to levy a tax on the taxable property of said
County for the payment of said bonds and the interest there-
on as the same matures, as hereinafter provided.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of County School Commissioners of Mont-
gomery County be and they are hereby authorized to erect an
addition to the High School Building in the town of Rockville,
in Montgomery County, and to equip or partially equip the
same suitable for the purpose of said school; and to construct
the same of brick upon a plan to conform architecturally to
the present building.

Also to sell or exchange, upon the best terms obtainable as
said School Board may determine and as speedily as may be,
not later than July 1st, 1916, the present old school buildings
and the grounds appurtenant thereto in Kensington, owned by
said County and to add the proceeds or apply the property
derived from such sale or exchange to the amount herein ap-
portioned to the Kensington School; and if ground be not ob-
tained by such exchange said School Board is further authorized
to purchase suitable grounds therefor and to erect thereon with
brick and equip a public school building of brick for white chil-
dren in said town of Kensington.

Also to purchase the ground suitable therefor and to erect
thereon with brick and equip a public school building for
white children in the village of Chevy Chase in said County.

All of said structures to be so erected according to plans ap-
proved by said Board of County School Commissioners; and
after approving such plans for said structures or any of them,
