SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 90 of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Caroline County, " sub-title "Den-
ton, " as the same was enacted by Chapter 730 of the Acts of
1914 be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments and that a new Section be and is hereby added to
follow Section 95 of said Article, said title and said sub-title,
and to be designated as Section 95A, said Section 90 as amended
and said Section 95A to read as follows:
SEC. 90. And be it further enacted, That the said Commis-
sioners may, whenever they may deem it necessary borrow
money on the credit of said town, by note or otherwise, any
amount they may deem necessary, provided that said indebted-
ness, thus created, shall not exceed at any time the sum of Six
Thousand Dollars.
SEC. 95A. And be it further enacted, That the Commis-
sioners of Denton are hereby authorized and empowered, when-
ever in their judgment the public interests and conveniences
require it, to pass ordinances for the improvement of the public
streets in said town, to establish grades for said streets, to pre-
scribe the material of which said streets shall be built or im-
proved and to assess the cost and expense thereof a sum not to
exceed fifty (50) cents per lineal foot upon the owner or owners
of the abutting property, whether same be owned by an indi-
vidual, firm, corporation or by Caroline County, which said cost
and expense as assessed by said Commissioners of Denton shall
be due and payable within ten days after said streets shall have
been completed, built or improved along said abutting property
and said costs and expense as assessed aforesaid shall be a lien
upon said abutting property, and interest shall be chargeable
on said assessment from the time same is due and payable, and
all assessments that are not paid when due aforesaid shall be
collectible by an action at law.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Board of County School
Commissioners of Montgomery County to erect an addition
to the High School Building in the town of Rockville, and
to equip or partially equip the same suitable for the pur-
pose; and to sell or exchange, upon the best terms obtainable
