497. Any person violating any of the provisions of the
preceding section, shall, upon conviction, pay a fine of not less
than fifty nor more than two hundred dollars, and forfeit the
boat, together with her tackle and apparel, and all other prop-
erty on board of her at the time of her seizure; and the pro-
ceedings to enforce such penalties shall be as prescribed in
Sections 255 to 258 inclusive.

498. All that part of the Chesapeake Bay and its waters,
lying northward of the following line, viz.: beginning at the
light-house on Turkey Point, in Cecil County, and drawn
westward to a point half a mile north of the most northerly
part of Spesutia Island, thence continuing said line still west-
ward, within half a mile of, and north of the northern end
of said island and the adjacent mainland, until it reaches the
shore in Harford County, at or near Oakington, shall be sub-
ject to the operation of the twenty-two sections following.

499. The season for shooting wild fowl northward of the
line described in the preceding section, shall begin on the first
day of November in each and every year, and continue until
the first day of March next succeeding, in each and every year
hereafter; and it shall not be lawful for any person to kill or
shoot at wild fowl northward of said line, except from ashore,.
and southward of a line drawn east from Point Concord light-
house in Harford County, to Carpenter's Point on the western
shore of Cecil County, at any other time; and any person vio-
lating the provisions of this section shall, on conviction there-
of, be fined not less than fifty dollars and not more than one
hundred dollars for each offense.

500. It shall be lawful to shoot teal ducks, mallards, black
ducks, baldpates and all other ducks known as marsh ducks,
blackbirds, railbirds, reedbirds, in any manner other than by
swivel gun, or big gun, from one hour before sunrise until
five o'clock P. M. every day from the first day of September
to the first day of October of each year, on the waters of the
Chesapeake Bay, lying and being within the bounds prescribed
by Section 498.

501. No person shall shoot or kill, or shoot at, any wild
fowl, in, on or over the waters lying northward of the line de-
scribed in Section 498, in the night time, with guns of any size
or description whatever; and any person violating! the provi-
sions of this section, upon conviction thereof shall be subject
to a fine of not less than one hundred dollars and not more than
five hundred dollars, for each and every violation thereof.
