AND WHEREAS, After said Commerce Street had been graded
and improved in accordance with the provisions of said. Chap-
ter 440, it was found that the entire cost on the part of the
said Town Commissioners of Centreville of the said grading
and improving of said Commerce Street amounted to the sum
of Seventy-one Hundred and Sixty-eight Dollars and Six Cents
($7, 168. 06), leaving, of the said sum so received by said
municipal corporation from the sale of said bonds, an unex-
pended balance of Twenty-nine Hundred and Fifty Dollars
($2, 950. 00) in the treasury of the said municipal corporation,
the Town Commissioners of Centreville;
AND WHEREAS, After the said grading and improvement of
said Commerce Street had been completed, the said Town
Commissioners of Centreville and the said State Roads Com-
mission entered into an agreement to grade and improve, at
their joint expense, Water Street, in said Town of Centreville,
and it was found that that part of the cost of said grading and
improvement of Water Street to be borne by the said Town
Commissioners of Centreville was equal to the amount of the
aforesaid unexpended balance of Twenty-nine Hundred and
Fifty Dollar, s ($2, 950. 00);
AND WHEREAS, The said municipal corporation, the Town
Commissioners of Centreville, did expend the aforesaid balance
of Twenty-nine Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($2, 950. 00).
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the expenditure by the said municipal corporation,
the said Town Commissioners of Centreville, of the aforesaid
balance of Twenty-nine Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($2, 950. 00)
in the payment of the cost and expense of the said grading and
improvement of said Water Street as hereinbefore set forth,
be and the same is hereby finally ratified, approved and con-
firmed, as fully and to the same extent as if the said municipal
corporation, the Town Commissioners of Centreville, had, prior
to the making of said expenditure, been granted full and com-
plete legislative power and authority to expend said balance
for said purpose.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the first day of June, nineteen hundred and sixteen.
