CHAPTER 83.

AN ACT to finally ratify, approve and confirm the expenditure
by the municipal corporation, the Town. Commissioners of
Centreville, in the payment of the cost and expense of the
grading and improvement of Water Street in said Town of
Centreville, of the unexpended balance of Twenty-nine
Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($2, 950. 00) remaining, alter
the completion of the grading and improvement of Com-
merce Street, out of the sum of Ten Thousand One Hun-
dred and Eighteen Dollars and Six Cents ($10, 118. 06) re-
ceived by said municipal corporation, the Town Commis-
sioners of Centreville, as the proceeds from the sale of the
bonds issued and sold by said municipal corporation pur-
suant to and by virtue of the power and authority conferred
upon said municipal corporation by Chapter 440 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at its January
Session, 1914.

WHEREAS, Under and by virtue of Chapter 440 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at its January
Session, 1914, the Town Commissioners of Centreville, the
municipal corporation therein named, was authorized and em-
powered to borrow on the faith and credit of said corporation
a sum of money not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars and to
issue bonds in the name of said municipal corporation for the
amount so borrowed, for the purpose of paying the cost of im-
proving and grading Commerce Street in said Town of Cen-
treville, in conjunction with the State Roads Commission, in
the event said State Roads Commission should determine to
extend the State Road through said Town of Centreville over
said street, as set forth in said Chapter 440 of the Acts of
1914;

AND WHEREAS, After the said State Roads Commission had
entered into a written agreement with the said Town Commis-
sioners of Centreville for the joint improvement of said Com-
merce Street and said written agreement had been duly re-
corded, as provided by Section 3 of said Chapter 440 of the
Acts of 1914, in pursuance of the power and authority con-
ferred by said Chapter 440 of the Acts of 1914, the said Town
Commissioners of Centreville issued the coupon bonds of said
corporation and sold the same, receiving as the proceeds of the
sale thereof the total sum of Ten Thousand One Hundred and
Eighteen Dollars and Six Cents ($10, 118. 06);
