SEC. 5. And be it further enacted. That the said County
Commissioners for Montgomery County be and they are hereby
authorized, empowered, and directed to apply the proceeds of
the bond issue herein authorized to the payment for the build-
ing, improving and relocating of the public road leading from
Norbeck in said Montgomery County by way of Redland to the
improved road at Griffith's gate, all building and improving
and relocating authorized under the provisions of this Act to
consist of the grading of the said road, the placing of bridges
and culverts and the construction thereon of a macadam or
other durable road according to plans and specifications pre-
pared by the Road Superintendent of Montgomery County.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall not take
effect unless and until a sum of money equal to ten pear centum
of the bonds hereinbefore authorized is subscribed by the own-
ers of property abutting upon said road and the payment there-
of at such time or times as said Commissioners may demand
it, is secured to the satisfaction of said Board of County Com-
missioners, but in no event shall it become effective prior to
the first day of June, in the year nineteen hundred and sixteen.

CHAPTER 82.
AN ACT to authorize and require the County Commissioners
of Charles County to levy a sum of money to build a new
schoolhouse at Benedict in Charles County.
SECTION 1. Re it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Charles County, be,
and they are hereby authorized and required to levy the sum of
Eleven Hundred Dollars ($1, 100. 00) at their next annual levy
for the purpose of building a new two-room schoolhouse for
white children at or near Benedict in Charles County, the said
money to be paid to the School Commissioners of said Charles
County, for the aforesaid purpose, on or before the first day
of November, 1916.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1916.
