said ballot in full and shall be voted for by placing upon the
ticket "For" and "Against" clearly defining by suitable words
whatever the proposition may be with a space provided on the
right for the voter to express his preference by making a cross
mark as is provided in this Section when voting for the candi-
dates.

CHAPTER 658.

AN ACT to appropriate the sum of Six Thousand One Hun-
dred and Ninety-five ($6, 195) Dollars for the payment of
certain condemnation awards made to the holders of oyster
leases for the areas or lots which are the subjects of con-
demnation proceedings taken in the Circuit Court for Cal-
vert County and tried at the January, 1916, term of said
'Court, under the provisions of Section 96C of Article 72
of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Oysters, " sub-
title "Oyster Culture. "

WHEREAS, It is provided by Section 96C of Article 72 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Oysters, " sub-title
"Oyster Culture, " that the rights and interests of lessees under
oyster leases outstanding and in force at the time of the en-
actment of said Section, covering areas within the limits of
natural beds or bars established by the resurveys provided by
Section 96A of said Article, or by proceedings taken under
Section 96B thereof, and the oysters belonging to such lessees,
located on such areas, should be condemned by the State of
Maryland for the use of the public;

AND WHEREAS, Proceedings under the said Article and Sec-
tion were taken by the State to condemn areas or lots located
within the limits of Calvert County, said areas or lots being
under oyster leases to the parties hereinafter named, and judg-
ments were rendered in said condemnation proceedings by the
Circuit Court for Calvert County, at the January, 1916, term
of said Court, for the respective amounts hereinafter named,
aggregating Six Thousand One Hundred and Ninety-five
($6, 195) Dollars;

AND WHEREAS, The interests of the State require that the
amounts of the said respective judgments be paid, and the
said areas or lots be taken over by the State.
