CHAPTER 612.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the Treasurer of the State of
Maryland, and the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to
refund to George Keck and Peter J. Campbell, receivers of
The Golden Gate Company of Baltimore City, the sum of
One hundred and eighty-four dollars and twenty-five cents
($184. 25) for a wholesale liquor license; the said The
Golden Gate Company of Baltimore City having gone out
of business and its effects sold prior to the Twenty-third
day of February, 1916, and the said license not having been
used thereafter.
WHEREAS, The Golden Gate Company of Baltimore City
obtained from the Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of
Baltimore City, a license for the sale of liquors by wholesale
dealers or jobbers other than wholesale druggists within said
City for the term of one year from May 1, 1915, for which
license the said The Golden Gate Company of Baltimore City
paid to said Clerk the sum of One thousand dollars ($1, 000);
and
WHEREAS, The said The Golden Gate Company of Balti-
more City went into the hands of receivers on November 8,
1915, and its effects were sold in full on or before the Twenty-
third day of February, 1916, after which time no use what-
ever was made by the said The Golden Gate Company of Bal-
timore City, and said Receivers thereof ceased doing business
of any kind whatsoever; and
WHEREAS, The Comptroller of the Treasury and the State
Treasurer have recommended to the General Assembly of
Maryland that a due proportion of said license fee for the
term of its unused period, be refunded to the said Receivers
of the said The Golden Gate Company of Baltimore City;
therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the
