SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1916.

CHAPTER 576.
AN ACT to pay the claim of Dulany-Vernay Company for sup-
plies, stationery, blank books and materials for use of the
Court of Appeals, State Library, Executive Departments
and the General Assembly of Maryland for the session of
1916.
WHEREAS, Chapter 397 of the Acts of 1904 failed to make
any appropriation covering the contract for supplies, station-
ery, blank books, and materials to be used by the Court of
Appeals, State Library, Executive Department and the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland for the session of 1916; and
WHEREAS, Under the provisions of said Chapter 397 of the
Acts of 1904 the contract for such supplies was awarded by the
Board of Public Works after due notice to Dulany-Vernay
Company, they being the lowest bidders therefor; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sum of three thousand three hundred forty-six dollars
and fifty-seven cents or so much thereof as may be necessary,
is hereby appropriated to pay the claim of Dulany-Vernay Com-
pany for supplies, stationery, blank books and materials used
by the Court of Appeals, State Library, Executive Department
and the General Assembly of Maryland for the session of 1916,
and the Treasurer of the State is hereby authorized to pay
Dulany-Vernay Company upon the warrant of the Comptroller,
the said sum or so much thereof as may be necessary, the sum
to be paid as prescribed in Chapter 397 of the Acts of 1904.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect the first day of June, 1916.

for printing the third reading file bills of the House and
Senate, provision for which is not made in the existing law,
