CHAPTER 538.
AN ACT authorizing and directing the State Roads Commis-
sion to make a survey and estimate of the cost of construc-
tion of a State Highway between Grove and Bureau, in
Caroline County.
WHEREAS, The intent of the framers of the Law creating
the State Highways Commission was to connect the County
Seat of the several Counties by the most direct routes; and
WHEREAS, There remains a gap of unimproved road 3 4/5
miles between Grove and Bureau, known as the River Road,
which if completed, would give a continuous improved high-
way from Cambridge to Denton several miles shorter than any
other route, and from Easton to Denton of about one-half the
distance now required to travel between these two towns over
any other improved highway; now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the State Roads Commission are hereby authorized and
directed to make a survey and estimate of the cost of construc-
tion of the unimproved portion of public road in Caroline
County between Grove and Bureau, and file a copy of said
survey and estimate in their office for public inspection; the
cost of making such survey and estimate to be charged against
the allotment of State Road funds for Caroline County, in the
hands of the State Roads Commission.

AN ACT to repeal Section 29A of Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Elec-
tions, " sub-title "Registrations" and to re-enact with amend-
ments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 29A of Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Elections, "
