more Transit and Terminal Company a franchise for a term
greater than twenty-five years, and to expand the time with-
in which said franchise must be executed and enjoyed be-
yond the period of six months; and to authorize said The
Baltimore Transit and Terminal Company to issue bonds in
excess of the par value of its stocks.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Robert Garrett of Baltimore County, John B.
Ramsay of Baltimore City, Henry J. Bowdoin of Howard
County, and William H. Maltbie of Baltimore City, and their
successors in office, are hereby created a body corporate, as a
railroad corporation under the name of The Baltimore Transit
and Terminal Company, and the said incorporators are hereby
constituted and appointed the directors of said company, and
they shall have power at any time after the passage of this Act
to organize by the election of a president and such other
officers, as may, in their judgment, be to them necessary for
the proper management of the affairs of the said company.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said corporation
under the above name shall be capable in law of purchasing,
holding, selling, and conveying property, real, personal, and
mixed, as far as shall be necessary for the purposes herein-
after mentioned, and shall have perpetual succession, and by
such corporate name may sue and be sued, and may make and
have and use a common seal, and the same may alter and renew
at their pleasure, and shall have and enjoy and may exercise
all the powers, rights, privileges, acts, matters and things inci-
dent and necessary to the purposes of said corporation as
created by this Act.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That subject to the con-
ditions, reservations and provisions in Section 10 of this Act the
company hereby incorporated be and it is hereby authorized and
empowered to construct, maintain and operate a railroad or rail-
roads, with one or more tracks, and with such laterals, exten-
sions, side-tracks, turn-outs, bridges, tunnels, offices, stations, de-
pots, power plants, transmission lines, shops, or other structures
as they may deem necessary, said railroad or railroads to run
from a convenient point or points, in the discretion of the
Board of Directors of said corporation, in Anne Arundel Coun-
ty, and/or Baltimore County, and/or Howard County to some
convenient point or points in the city of Baltimore, or from a
convenient point or points in Anne Arundel County, and/or
Baltimore County, and/or Howard County, in the discretion
