CHAPTER 568.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Cecil County
to refund to Anna Condon six dollars, money erroneously paid
into the Treasury of Cecil County as County Taxes in the year
1912.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
land, That the County Commissioners of Cecil County be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to refund to Anna Con-
don six dollars ($6.00) erroneously paid into the County Treas-
ury as County Taxes for the year 1912 and 1913.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 10th, 1914.

CHAPTER 569.

AN ACT to empower and direct the County Commissioners of
Caroline County to borrow twelve thousand dollars ($12,000)
on the credit of the said county, to be applied toward the cost
of erecting a new school building in the Town of Federalsburg,
in said county, and to levy a tax on the assessable property of
the said county to repay the money borrowed and the interest
thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That, upon written demand of the School Commissioners-
of Caroline County, the County Commissioners of Caroline be
and are hereby empowered and directed to borrow on two
promissory notes of the said County Commissioners of Caroline
County the sum of Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000), to be
paid to said School Commissioners and applied by said School
Commissioners toward the cost of erecting a new school build-
ing in the town of Federalsburg in said County, each of which
said notes shall be for the sum of Six Thousand Dollars
($6,000) and payable, respectively, one and two years after
date with interest thereon at a rate not exceeding six per centum
(6%) payable annually.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said County
Commissioners of Caroline County be and they are hereby
empowered and directed to levy a tax on the assessable prop-
erty of Caroline County sufficient to pay said notes and interest
when they respectively become due and payable.
