hereby repealed in so far as the same may apply to said Section
3 thereof.
SEC. 10. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 567.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners of
Allegany County, Maryland, to pay to certain volunteer fire
companies in Allegany County, Maryland, so long as said fire
companies remain incorporated bodies, the sum of one thous-
and dollars ($1,000) annually for their benefit, and to levy
said amount on the assessable property of said county, and to
provide for the date on which said payment shall be made.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Allegany County, be
and they are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to pay
the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000) annually to the sev-
eral volunteer fire companies hereinafter named, so long as
said fire companies remain incorporated bodies, for their benefit.
SECTION 2. Be it further enacted, That said payment shall be
made on the first day of September in each and every year by
the County Commissioners of Allegany County, and it shall be
distributed as follows: To the Chapel Hill Hose Company No.
6 and the Cumberland Hose Company No. 1, of Cumberland,
Maryland, the sum of $150.00 each; to the Frostburg Fire
Department, of Frostburg, Maryland, the sum of $200.00; to
the Good Will Fire Company, of Lonaconing, Maryland, the
sum of $200.00; to the Potomac Fire Company No. 2 of Western-
port, Maryland, the sum of $100.00; to the Midland Fire De-
partment, of Midland, Maryland, the sum of $100.00; to the
Mount Savage Fire Department, Mount Savage, Maryland, the
sum of $100.00.
SEC. 3. Be it further enacted, That the County Commis-
sioners of Allegany County be and the same are hereby author-
ized, directed and empowered to levy the said sum of one thous-
and dollars ($1,000) annually for the above purpose upon the
assessable property of said Allegany County.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
