WHEREAS, By reason of said accident caused through the lack
of sufficient and proper help by the State, the said Harry P.
McCormick was forced to expend the sum of three hundred
and seventy-six dollars and seventy-five cents ($376.75) for
operation and medical treatment; and
WHEREAS, The said injuries complained of were cause en-
tirely through the lack of competent and proper help in the said
State Tobacco Warehouse, in Baltimore City, and through no
fault of the said Harry P. McCormick; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Treasurer of Maryland is hereby empowered and
directed to pay out of any funds in the Treasury of this State,
not otherwise specifically appropriated, to Harry P. Mc-
mick, of Baltimore City, a sum of three hundred and seventy-
six dollars and seventy-five cents ($376.75) to repay and re-
imburse him for the actual hospital expenses and medical atten-
tion which he was forced to pay by reason of an accident which
occurred in the said State Tobacco Warehouse, of Baltimore
City, on or about August 12th, 1912.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 558.
AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore City," to follow
Section 516 of said Article 4, and to be known as Section
516-A.

rens by the Board of Police Commissioners of Baltimore City
out of the special fund.
