944 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 560.

AN ACT to provide for the safe keeping and for the prompt re-
payment of the funds of Allegany County that are now in the
custody of the County Treasurer of Allegany County or that
may hereafter come into the custody of the County Treasurer
of Allegany County for any purpose whatsoever, and for the
advertising of bids and the time thereof, and what said bids
shall contain and to whom they shall be directed, and to
provide for the safe keeping thereof and by whom they shall
be opened, and upon what average time the funds shall bear
interest and for the receiving and opening of said bids and
the selection of the depository or depositories as the case may
be and the designation of the same and the course to be pur-
sued when no bids are made or when the bids may be deemed
insufficient, for the safe keeping and prompt repayments of
the funds of Allegany County and to provide for the contract
between the said depository or depositories and the County
Treasurer of Allegany County and for the keeping of the same
in the office of the County Commissioners of Allegany County,
and the time in which reports shall be made by the depository
or depositories and to whom said reports shall be submitted
and for the crediting of the accrued interest on County funds
and for the keeping of separate accounts of any funds which
by law are required to be kept separate, and to provide for
the penalty for the violation of this Act.

CHAPTER 561.

AN ACT to add an additional Section to Chapter 27 of the Acts
of 1908 of the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled, An Act
to enable the qualified voters of Worcester County to deter-
mine at a special election to be held Saturday, March 21, 1908.
whether or not spirituous, fermented or intoxicating liquors,
alcoholic bitters or compounds, shall be sold in said County,
and providing certain fines and penalties for the violations of
the provisions of the same, to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 4 of said Chapter 27 of the Acts of 1908, and to be known
as Section 4-A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That an additional Section be added to Chapter 27 of the
Acts of 1908 of the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled An
