such rules, regulations and orders when recorded in the minutes
of said Commissioners, signed by them and attested by their
Chief Clerk and Auditor, shall have the same force and effect as
though enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, and any
person violating the same shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and
be fined not less than five nor more than fifty dollars.
SEC. 4. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 545.
AN ACT to regulate moving picture, theatrical, dramatic and
other public exhibitions and entertainments in Baltimore
County, and to provide for licensing the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,' That no person shall hereafter operate and maintain in
Baltimore County any moving picture exhibition, theatrical
or dramatic performance, entertainment; show or public ex-
hibition of any kind without a license for that purpose had
and obtained from the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Balti-
more County under a penalty of fifty dollars for each and
every offense, which, said license shall express for what it is
granted and the time it is to continue; and the following tax
.shall be imposed and laid upon each license granted as afore-
said, which tax shall be paid to the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Baltimore County on the granting of such license, as fol-
lows, to wit: " For the holding of moving picture exhibitions,
theatrical, dramatic or other shows in any room, hall, building
or other structure or enclosure with a seating capacity for not
more than 100 persons, twenty-five dollars per year; for holding
such exhibitions or shows in any room, hall, building or other
structure or inclosure having a seating capacity for more than
100, but not more than 500 persons, fifty dollars per year; for
holding such exhibitions. or shows in any room, hall or other
building or inclosure with a seating capacity for more than 500
but not more than 800 persons, $75.00 per year; and for holding
such shows or exhibitions in any room, hall or other building or
inclosure having a seating capacity for more than 800 persons,
$100.00 a year; for circuses, exhibitions or horsemanship, and
other shows held in whole or in part under canvas tents, fifty
dollars for each performance; for other exhibitions or entertain-
ments for gain, $5.00 per week, except as hereinafter provided.
