County Free School, a body politic, and their successors, to grant
and convey in fee-simple, by good and sufficient deed, signed,
sealed, acknowledged and recorded, to Luther L. McKenny, the.
remaining two acres of the farm known as the Free School Farm,
in Anne Arundel County, which was excepted by Chapter 577
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1910, lying at
the head of South River and between Rutland and Chesterfield.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said Board of Visitors
are further authorized and empowered, to do any act necessary
and proper in conformity with the provisions of this Act.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 70.
AN ACT to repeal Section 138 of Article 8 of the Code of Public
Laws of Maryland, title "Cecil County," sub-title "Elkton,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sec. 138 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Laws
of Maryland, title "Cecil County," sub-title "Elkton," be and
the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so
as to read as follows:
SEC. 138, The President and Commissioners shall have power
to establish the limit and width of the streets of said town and
to establish grade lines in said town; to open new streets, lanes,
and alleys in the town, and to straighten and increase the width
of, and remove all obstructions from those already located or
used, and to provide for the paving of the said streets and side-
walks thereof and for keeping the same in repair, and for the
proper drainage of said streets and alleys, and for that purpose
to construct drains, sewers and culverts when necessary; to
determine conditions and limitations for the erection of build-
ings in said town; to prescribe the kind and character of
buildings that may be erected therein, and issue permits without
which no building may be erected in said town, and to require
removal of structures dangerous to public safety; and shall
have authority to pass all proper and necessary ordinances and
orders to that end; and shall have full power and authority to
impose such fines and penalties as they may deem proper and
