centum per annum payable semi-annually on the first days
of April and October in each and every year during which said
bonds may run and remain unpaid, and the coupons for interest
on said bonds shall be receivable by the Treasurer of said County
in payment of county taxes; provided, that said bonds shall be
advertised and sold to the highest bidder or bidders, at not less
than their face value, by the County Commissioners of said
Montgomery County, for cash.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That said bonds shall be
issued so as to mature the principal of five hundred dollars in
one year from the date thereof and five hundred dollars each
year thereafter until the same shall be paid off.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That to redeem said
bonds the County Commissioners of Montgomery County shall
annually levy upon the assessable property of said county a tax
sufficient to pay the interest thereon and the principal of such
portions as may mature in each and every year after the date
of their issue; and the said levy shall be designated as "The
School House Fund."
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That the proceeds arising
from the aforementioned bonds, when sold, shall be paid over by
the County Commissioners to the Treasurer of said Board of
County School Commissioners of said County.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 509.
AN ACT to refund to Josiah D. Crowl the sums of money erro-
neously paid by him to the Board of School Commissioners of
Carroll County for liquor licenses for the years 1908, 1909,
1910 and 1911.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of School Commissioners of Carroll County
or the Treasurer thereof be and it is hereby authorized to pay to
Josiah D. Crowl, of Carroll County, Maryland, the sum of one
hundred and forty-two dollars and fifty cents out of any funds
the said Board of School Commissioners for Carroll County or
the Treasurer thereof now in their hands or which may hereafter
