come into their hands, said sum of one hundred and forty-two

dollars and fifty cents having been erroneously paid by the said
Growl for liquor licenses for the years 1908, 1909, 1910 and
1911.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 510.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 181 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, sub-
title County Commissioners, as enacted by Chapter 411 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland at the Session of
1902, as codified by Chapter 22 of the Acts of 1912.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 181 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, sub-title County Commissioners, as en-
acted by Chapter 411 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland at the Session of 1902 as codified by Chapter 22 of
the Acts of 1912, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:

SEC. 181. They shall in the month of March, 1914, and every
two years thereafter appoint a Transfer Clerk and Auditor for
Prince George's County, who shall, subject to the control, di-
rection and decision of the said County Commissioners, cor-
rect and keep the assessment books of Prince George's County
so that the same will truly show the actual owner or owners
of each piece of property thereon. To this end said Transfer
Clerk and Auditor shall diligently hunt for and ascertain the
true owner or owners of all property on said books not in their
respective name or names, also every transfer of property by
deed, decree, will, descent or otherwise, and report the same
fully at least monthly to the County Commissioners, and said
Transfer Clerk and Auditor shall also, as soon as practicable,
after the last of March in each and every year, audit the
accounts of said County Commissioners, the Treasurer of said
County and the Board of County Road Directors for said
County for the year proceeding the last Monday in March and
report the same together with a full statement of the financial
condition of the County Commissioners of Prince George's
