of Article Twenty-Two of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Washington County," sub-title "Roads," and
Section Three Hundred and Thirty-Two (332) of said Article,
said title and said sub-title, as the latter was amended by Chap-
ter 106, Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1900, be
and the same are hereby repealed.
SEC. Two. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 52.
AN ACT to repeal Section 75 of Article 21 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Talbot County," sub-title
"Easton," as passed by the General Assembly of Maryland
at the January Session of 1906, Chapter 458, as amended by
Chapter 41 of the Acts of 1908, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 75 of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Talbot County," sub-title "Easton,"
as passed by the General Assembly of Maryland at the Janu-
ary Session of 1906, Chapter 458, as amended by Chapter 41 of
the Acts of 1908, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:
75. At the first regular meeting of the Council after the
regular election, the Mayor shall appoint, subject to the con-
firmation of the Council, a person, not a member of the Council,
whose official title shall be "Town Clerk," to serve for two
years from June 1st following, or until his successor shall be
duly appointed and qualified, and it shall be his duty to attend
all meetings of the Council and act as Clerk thereof; he shall
be collector of taxes and of all other sums receivable, and Treas-
urer of the town and shall be at the Council Room, or Town
Clerk's Office, on such days and hours as may be provided by
ordinance or resolution, and he shall perform such other duties
as the Charter of Easton may provide and the Mayor and
Council may by ordinance or resolution direct, and he shall
receive for his services such sum per annum, payable in monthly
installments, as the Mayor and Council may by ordinance de-
termine.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
