CHAPTER 420.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 282
and 283 of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Baltimore County," relating to authorizing
and requiring the County Commissioners to make a special
levy of not more than twenty cents on each one hundred dol-
lars of the assessable property in the village of Mount Wash-
ington, in Baltimore County, for the purpose of bettering the
roads, sidewalks, sanitary measures, drainage and other im-
provements in said village, if twenty-five or more persons own-
ing taxable property in said village shall petition annually
therefor, as enacted by Chapter 495 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January session,
in the year 1908, and to repeal all Acts or parts of Acts in-
consistent herewith.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 282 and 283 of Article 3 of the Code of
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County," relating
to authorizing and requiring the County Commissioners to
make a special levy of not more than twenty cents on each one
hundred dollars of the assessable property in the village of
Mount Washington, in Baltimore County, for the purpose of
bettering the roads, sidewalks, sanitary measures, drainage and
other improvements in said village, if twenty-five or more per-
sons owning taxable property in said village shall petition an-
nually therefor, as enacted by Chapter 495 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January session,
in the year 1908, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:

SEC. 282. The Board of County Commissioners of Baltimore
County shall annually levy upon the assessable property on
each one hundred dollars of the whole assessable property situ-
ated and located within the following limits of the village of
Mount Washington, in Baltimore County, at the time of making
the County levy, a sum of money, not exceeding the sum of
twenty cents, for the use and purpose of the bettering the roads,
sidewalks, sanitary measures, drainage and other improvements
in said limits of said village of Mount Washington, which shall
be collected as other County taxes are collected. The said
County Commissioners, at the time of making the annual tax
levy in each and every year, shall make a special annual levy of
not more than twenty cents on each one hundred dollars of the
