first day of November and the said first day of February in
each and every year, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and
upon conviction thereof before any Justice of the Peace of the
State of Maryland, in and for Baltimore County, of having
violated the provisions of this Section shall pay a fine of not
more than thirty dollars for each and every offense.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent with the provisions herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 341.

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 17 of the Code of 1904
of the Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Clerks of
Court,'' to follow Section 23, and to be known as Section 23A,
providing for the payment of Court costs in equity cases.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new Section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 17 of the Code of 1904 of the Public General Laws of
Maryland, title "Clerks of Court," to follow Section 23 and
to be known as Section 23A, and to read as follows:

Section 23A. Whenever in any cause in a Court of Equity
any real or leasehold estate is sold and the proceedings, or any
part of them, are by law proper to be recorded among the
records of such Court, the costs accruing in such cause up to
and including the final ratification of the sale, including the
costs of recording such papers as are by law proper to be re-
corded, shall be paid before the final ratification of the first
auditor's account after such sale; and upon the payment of
such costs it shall be the duty of the clerk of the Court to forth-
with record so much of said proceedings as are by law proper
to be recorded.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
