530 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 17-H. An be it further enacted, That the said deputy
game warden shall when acting in .an official capacity, except
when on detective duty, wear in plain view a metallic shield,
with the words "Deputy Game Warden," inscribed thereon;
which said shield shall be furnished to said deputy game war-
dens by the chief game warden of Baltimore County, who shall
make provisions for the same from the funds in his hands, as
provided for in this Act.

SEC. 17-I. And be it further enacted, That whenever the ser-
vices of any deputy game warden shall no longer be required by
the chief game warden of Baltimore County, the said chief game
warden of Baltimore County shall give a notice in writing to
this effect to the said deputy game warden and shall file a
copy of the same in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Baltimore County, which notice shall be noted by the Clerk
upon the margin of the record where the signature of such dep-
uty game warden is recorded, and thereafter the power and au-
thority of such deputy game warden shall cease and determine,
and a copy of such notice shall be immediately served on such
deputy game warden by the chief game warden of Baltimore
County, and such service shall be by registered letters through
the United States mail or by the Sheriff of said County. And
Buch deputy game wardens so removed as aforesaid shall forth-
with upon service of said copy return to the chief game warden
of Baltimore County his commission and the shield bearing the
words "Deputy Game Warden," which he has previously re-
ceived from the said chief game warden when he obtained his
commission, and should said deputy game warden so removed
as aforesaid not return said commission and shield to the chief
game warden within thirty clays from the date of said service
of said copy of removal as aforesaid, such deputy game warden
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction

thereof, shall be fined five dollars for each offense.

SEC. 17-J. And be it further enacted, That the said Chief
Game Warden for Baltimore County, shall report to the County
Commissioners of Baltimore County by a sworn account at least
once a year all receipts and disbursements made by him under
the provisions of this Act,

SEC. 17-K. And be it further enacted, That ho person shall
shoot, hurt, take, catch, kiil, pursue, injure or have in posses-
sion in Baltimore County any woodcock between December 20
and November 10, exclusive, and doves and flickers September
