SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That every such non-
resident person or persons and every such partnership, firm or
joint stock company, composed in whole or in part of persons
non-resident of the State of Maryland, and every such corpora-
tion incorporated other than under the laws of the State of
Maryland, who shall apply for such license to catch or take
fish from the waters of the Atlantic Ocean within the State of
Maryland in Worcester County, in addition to the fee paid the
Clerk of the Court, as aforesaid, shall pay to said Clerk of the
Circuit Court a specific license tax as follows:

On each purse net of not more than four hundred
meshes deep, fished from sail vessel..............$ 5.00

On each purse net of more than four hundred meshes
deep, fished from sail vessel.....................$ 25.00

On each purse net fished from steam vessel.......... $100.00

On each pound net ...............................$ 50.00

On each stake net or gill net of six hundred feet in
length, or under ...............................$ 1.00

and for each additional one hundred feet or frac-
tion thereof.....................................$ .25

On each thresh net or skirt net, or similar device.....$ 1.00

On each fyke net, or similar device..................$ 1.00

On each haul seine, hauled by hand for market or
profit .........................................$ 3.00

On each drift haul seine, attended by a sail or motor
boat, other than a steamboat .....................$ 20.00

but no steamboat shall be allowed to fish such net;
On each haul seine, hauled by windlass or other power

than hand or steam .............................$ 20.00

On each haul seine operated by steam power ........$ 50.00

On each sturgeon gill net or trammel net.............$ 3.00

On each sturgeon sweep net or haul seine.............$ 25.00

If any person, firm, joint stock company or corporation shall
use or set, or cause to be used or set, any such net as aforesaid,
in the waters aforesaid, without having first paid the tax and
obtained the license provided for in this Act, or violate any of
the provisions of this Act, he, they or it shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined not less
than $10.00 nor more than $200.00 for each and every day or
fraction of a day for each net or nets so used or set, or caused
to be used or set in violation of the provisions of this Act; and
in addition to the penalties heretofore provided for, he, they or
it shall upon conviction forfeit such net or other such device
used in violation of the provisions of this Act; and likewise
