the Congressional election) ; and the said Commissioners are
directed to have tickets printed "For the County Home," and
"Against the County Home, "and the tickets as provided herein
shall not be separate tickets, but shall be printed upon the regu-
lar Congressional ticket and shall be deposited in the ballot
box prepared for the reception of the votes for member of Con-
gress, and if upon counting the same which votes shall be cast
under the general provisions of Article 33 of the Code, title
"Elections," a majority of the votes cast shall be found to be
for a County Home, the County Commissioners of said County
under the authority of this Act are directed to take proper steps
for the carrying out of the same, and shall immediately enter
into the contracts and agreements authorized by this Act, but if
a majority of the votes cast at said election be against a County
Home, then this Act shall be null and void.

CHAPTER 279.

"AN ACT to require non-residents of the State of Maryland to
take out licenses for nets used in taking or catching fish in the
waters of the Atlantic Ocean within the jurisdiction of the
State of Maryland, in Worcester County.''

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Worcester County
may issue to any person or persons non-residents of the State
of Maryland, and to any firm, co-partnership or joint stock
company composed in whole or in part of persons non-residents
of the State of Maryland, and to any corporation incorporated
other than under the laws of the State of Maryland, a license to
take or catch fish for market or profit from or in the waters of
the Atlantic Ocean within the jurisdiction of the State of Mary-
land, in Worcester County, with a purse net, pound net, fyke
net, gill net, haul seine, sturgeon net, skirt net, or other similar
device; and no person or persons who are not bona fide residents
of the State of Maryland, and no firm, co-partnership or joint
stock company composed in whole or in part of members or
stockholders who do not bona fide reside in the State of Mary-
land; and no corporation incorporated other than under the
laws of the State of Maryland, shall take or catch fish within
the waters of the Atlantic Ocean aforesaid, for market or profit
(other than their personal or domestic consumption) without
first having applied for and received a license for every such
