SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 25 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of the Session of 1912, entitled "An Act to encour-
age the killing of wild cats, foxes, minks, weasels, hawks, owls
and other destructive birds and animals in Frederick County, ''
be and the same is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 3.
AN ACT to prevent the sale and carrying, sending or shipping
of any live bass bait, known as scale bait, stony cats or mad
toms out of or away from Frederick County (unless taken
from the owners of enclosed ponds).
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, partnership
or corporation to sell and carry, send or ship, out of or from
Frederick County, or sell or dispose of or furnish to any person
for the purpose, of taking the same out of or from Frederick
County at any time, any live bass bait known as scale bait,
stony cats or mad toms; the carrying, sending or shipping from
or out of said Frederick County, shall constitute prima facie
evidence of the violation of this Act and the burden of proof
shall be upon the person, firm, partnership or corporation so
taking, carrying, sending or shipping any live bass bait known
as scale bait, stony cats or mad toms, that the same are not
sold nor intended for sale, unless said bait were taken from
the owners of enclosed ponds.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That any person, firm or
corporation violating any of the provisions of Section 1 of this
Act shall upon conviction thereof before any Justice of the
Peace in said Frederick County, be fined not less than $5, nor
more than $25, and in default of the payment of the fine im-
posed and costs shall be sentenced to the County Jail for not
less than 10 days nor more than 60 days in the discretion of
the Justice of the Peace.
