Laws of Maryland of 1914.
MARYLAND, Sct.:
At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun and
held in the City of Annapolis, on the Seventh day of
January, 1914, and ending on the Sixth day of April,
1914, the Honorable Phillips Lee Goldsborough being
Governor of the State, the following Laws were enacted,
to wit:
CHAPTER 1.
AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 75 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Pleading, Practice and Process at
Law, " sub-title "Continuance, " to be designated Section
70-A.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new Section be, and the same is hereby, added to
Article 75, Code, of Public General Laws, title "Pleading, Prac-
tice and Process at Law, " sub-title "Continuance, " to be desig-
nated Section 70-A.
70-A. When it shall appear that any attorney of record of
any party to any suit or proceeding at law or in equity is a
member of the General Assembly of Maryland, and the said
General Assembly of Maryland shall then be in session, such
suit or proceeding shall be continued from time to time until
said General Assembly of Maryland shall have adjourned, un-
less such attorney shall upon the call of such suit or proceeding
for trial waive the benefit of this Section.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 25 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of the Session of 1912, entitled "An
Act to encourage the killing of wild cats, foxes, minks, wea-
