364 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

1912, Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Testamentary
Law," sub-title "Orphans' Court," to be inserted after Section
235, and to be know.n as Section 235-A, and to read as follows:

SEC. 235-A. That from and after the passage of this Act no
letters testamentary or of administration shall be issued to
any person on the estate of any deceased person, except upon
application, first made in writing, plainly and distinctly setting
forth the name, age and last known place of residence of said

deceased person, the date of and place of death, whether said
decedent died leaving a husband, or wife, or child, or children,
or other heirs at law surviving; together with the names, ages

-and place of residence of said husband, wife, child, children or
other heirs at law, said application to be signed by the party
applying for said letters, and who shall make oath to the truth
of the statements contained in said application, to the best of
their knowledge, information and belief. And be it further pro-
vided that this Section shall only apply to Cecil County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent with this Act be and the same are hereby
repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 1st, 1914.

CHAPTER 257.

AN ACT to enlarge and extend the corporate and ward limits of
the City of Hagerstown and .to provide methods and rates of
taxation for the area so annexed to said City, and to provide
for the registering of voters in the territory so annexed to said
City, by repealing and re-enacting with amendments the fol-
lowing Sections of Article 22, title "Washington County,"
sub-title '' Hagerstown,'' of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland of 1888, as legalized by Chapter 74 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1888, to wit: Section
154, and Section 155, and Section 194 as amended by Chapter
386 of the Acts of 1900, and by adding a new Section to said
Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Washington County," sub-title "Hagerstown," to follow
after Section 159-I, and to be known as Section 159-I-2.
