special annual levy in each and every year (as hereinbefore
mentioned) of twenty cents on each one hundred dollars of the
whole assessable property situated in the Village of Overlea,
except the property situate on Maple Avenue, west of the Belair
Road, in Baltimore County, to be collected as other County
taxes in said County are collected, and said special annual levy
to be paid over by the said County Commissioners to the Treas-
urer of the Overlea Improvement League of Baltimore County,
a body corporate, to be used by the said league exclusively for
the betterment of the roads in said Village of Overlea; pro-
vided, however, that all taxes collected under the provisions of
this Act and turned over to the Treasurer of the said Overlea
Improvement League of Baltimore County monthly, a body cor-
porate, shall be used exclusively for the betterment of the roads
within the area as provided for in Section Number Two of this
Act.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That for the purposes of
this Act the Village of Overlea shall be deemed and taken to in-
clude the following properties: All that property embraced in
the Plat of "Overlea," except the property situate on Maple
Avenue, west of the Belair Road, recorded among the Land Rec-
ords of Baltimore County in Plat Book J. W. S. No. 2, folio 77,
etc., and all that property embraced in the plat of East Overlea,
known as "Addition to Overlea," recorded among the Land
Records of Baltimore County in Plat Book J. W. S. No. 2, folio
196, etc.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 252.

AN ACT to require all the owners of property to pave, and to
empower the County Commissioners of Baltimore County to
have, paved, all the footways in two tracts of land situated in
Baltimore County, and known as "Overlea," and "Addition
to Overlea," of a certain grade and specification, and provid-
ing means of enforcing the same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Baltimore County,
State of Maryland, be and the same are hereby authorized, em-
