CHAPTER 189.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners
of St. Mary's County to levy a sum of money not exceeding
six hundred dollars to build a school house for white children
on the State Road at the dividing line between the Fourth and
Fifth Districts of St. Mary's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of St. Mary's County be,
and are hereby authorized and empowered to levy a sum of
money not exceeding six hundred dollars ($600) to build a
school house for white children on the State Road at the dividing
line between the Fourth and Fifth Districts of St. Mary's
County.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Board of School Com-
missioners of St. Mary's County may contract for the building
of said school house by bids in the usual form, awarding the
same to the lowest responsible bidder, provided that said bid
does not exceed six hundred dollars.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 190.
AN ACT to authorize and require the County Commissioners of
Calvert County Maryland, to levy a sum of money to build a
school house for colored children at or near Cove Point in
Election District No. 1.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Calvert County are
hereby authorized and required to levy upon the assessable prop-
erty of Calvert County at the next levy, the sum of Five Hun-
dred ($500.00) Dollars, for the use of the School Commissioners
of said County to build a school house for colored children at
or near Cove Point in Election District No. 1 of said County.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
