270 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof
before any Justice of the Peace in Carroll County shall pay a
fine of not less than one dollar nor more than five dollars for
each and every partridge, quail, pheasant, dove, squirrel or
woodcock bought, sold or offered for sale, shipped or exported
or had in possession for the purpose of shipping or exporting
from Carroll County, and in default of payment of such fine
shall be imprisoned in the County Jail for a period of not less
than ten nor more than twenty days or until said fine and costs
are paid; one-half of all such fines to be paid to the informer.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That it is hereby made
the duty of all game wardens or deputy game wardens, con-
stables and police officers of Carroll County to see to the en-
forcement of this Act; and they shall receive in addition to the
fees prescribed by law for the performance of their duties, one-
half of the fine imposed if they make the information leading
to the arrest and conviction of the party.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 188.

AN ACT to authorize, empower and direct the County Commis-
sioners of St. Mary's County to levy the sum of Two Thous-
and Dollars for the construction of two bridges in the Eighth
Election District of said County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of St. Mary's County be
and they are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to
levy the sum of Two Thousand Dollars for the purpose of con-
structing a bridge over each of the two creeks' mouths crossing
the public road leading from Green Holly to Mill Stone Land-
ing, commonly known as Green Holly Creek and Fords Creek.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That any money so levied
and unused in completion of said bridges shall be applied to the
general road fund of said County.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
