118-G, 118-H, 118-I, 118-J, 118-K, and to repeal all Acts or
parts of Acts of said Article, and all other Acts so far as the
same may be inconsistent with the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
laud, That Sections 118-A, 118-B, 118-C, 118-D, 118-E, 118-F,
118-G, 118-H, 118-I, 118-J and 118-K, of Article 8 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Cecil County, " sub-
title "Roads, " to follow Section 118 thereof as enacted by Chap-
ter 62 of the Acts of Assembly of 1910, be and the same are
hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved February 24th, 1914.

. CHAPTER 20.

AN ACT to amend the Charter of the town of Brunswick, Fred-
erick County, Maryland, as enacted by Chapter 495 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1898, by adding
a new Section to be known as 18-A, authorizing the Mayor and
Council of the town of Brunswick to pass an ordinance direct-
ing and authorizing the bailiff of said town to require all per-
sons of sufficient ability, sentenced to imprisonment in the
town lock-up in punishment of any crime or misdemeanor
committed in said town, by the Police Magistrate of said town,
to work on the public streets and highways of said town of
Brunswick or to do some work in connection with the im-
provements thereof as part of the prison discipline and man-
agement.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 495 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1898 granting a Charter to the town of Bruns-
wick in Frederick County, Maryland, be and the same is hereby
amended by adding a new Section to be known as Section 18-A
as follows:

18-A. The Mayor and Council of the town of Brunswick,
Frederick County, Maryland, are hereby authorized to pass an
ordinance authorizing and directing the bailiff of said town to
require all persons of sufficient ability who shall be sentenced
to imprisonment in the town lock-up by the Police Justice of
said town as a punishment of any crime or misdemeanor com-
