eral Laws, title "Fees of Officers, " sub-title "Attorneys, " be
and the same is hereby repealed so far as said Section relates
to Anne Arundel County, and re-enacted with amendments so
as to read as follows:

SEC. 2. Attorneys-at-law shall be entitled to demand and re-
ceive the following fees, to wit:

For bringing, prosecuting or defending any suit or action at
law in any of the courts of this State of original jurisdiction
in the sum of five dollars, except in all cases in which the Board
of Supervisors of Elections of Anne Arundel County or the
Registration Officers or Judges of Election appointed by them
are parties in which no fee shall be demanded or received.

For prosecuting or defending any cause, plaint of action in-
cluding all proceedings to collect money due on mortgage, in
any of the courts of equity of this State, the sum of ten dollars,
except in all cases in which the Board of Supervisors of Election
of Anne Arundel County, or the Registration Officers or Judges
of Election, appointed by them are parties, in which no fee shall
be demanded or received.

For prosecuting or defending any cause in any of the Or-
phans' Court in this State the sum of ten dollars.

For prosecuting or defending any cause in the Court of Ap-
peals the sum of ten dollars, except such in which the Board of
Supervisors of Elections of Anne Arundel County, the Registra-
tion Officers or Judges of Election, appointed by them are par-
ties, in which no fee shall be demanded or received.

For prosecuting or defending in any criminal cases in any of
the courts of this State having criminal jurisdiction, when the
punishment for the offense charged is death or confinement in
the Penitentiary the sum of ten dollars.

In all other criminal cases the sum of five dollars.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved February 24th, 1914.

Act to add eleven additional Sections to Article 8 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title '' Cecil County, '' sub-
