pealed for the purposes of this Act and in so far as they are
inconsistent herewith.

SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That nothing in this Act con-
tained is intended or shall be taken or construed as relieving
the Mayor and Council of Easton or the Easton Electric Com-
mission created under the provisions of this Act from any and
all provisions of Chapter 180 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland of 1910, known as the Public Service Com-
mission Law, or any amendment thereto, to the extent that the
same may apply to municipal electric light, heat and power
plants.

SEC. 17. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved March 20th, 1914.

CHAPTER 144.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, the Act of
1908, Chapter 148; and so much of the Act of 1912, Chapter
32, as was enacted under the heading—(8) "Harbors, Docks
and Wharves," and to re-enact the same, with amendments,
as sub-paragraph (8) "Harbors, Docks and Wharves," of
Section 6 of the Baltimore City Charter.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, that the Act of 1908, Chapter 148, so much of the Act
of 1912, Chapter 32, as was enacted under the heading (8)
"Harbors, Docks and Wharves," be, and the same are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, as a sub-paragraph
of Section 6 of the Baltimore City Charter, so as to read as
follows :

(8)—HARBORS, DOCKS AND WHARVES.

To provide for the preservation of the navigation of the
Patapsco River and tributaries, including the establishment of
lines throughout the entire length of said Patapsco River and
tributaries, beyond which lines no piers, bulkheads, wharf, pil-
ings, structures, obstructions or extensions of any character
may be built, erected, constructed, made or extended; to provide
for improving, cleaning and deepening said river and tributar-
ies, and the removal therefrom of anything detrimental to navi-
gation or health; to provide for and regulate the stationing, an-
