be built within the radius of one mile of the Baltimore & Ohio
Railroad Station at Riverdale, Prince George's County, Mary-
land, and to authorize and require the Board of County
School Commissioners of said County to borrow money for
such purpose by the issuing of bonds, to be endorsed by the
County Commissioners of Prince George's County, and to au-
thorize the County Commissioners to levy taxes on the asses-
sable property of said County to redeem said bonds, and to
regulate the use of said building.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Guy W. Latimer, William P. Magruder, Charles W.
Clagett, Brice Bowie, J. Burrows Waters, G. A. Meyer, T. How-
ard Duckett, Edward Gasch, Louis F. Menikheim, William H.
Venneman, William Bull, J. August Miller, Charles A. Fox, A.
O. Etienne, Francis L. Shipley, the Board of County Commis-
sioners of said County, and the Board of School Commissioners
of said County, and Frederick Sasscer, be and they
are hereby appointed a Building Committee for the above men-
tioned High School to serve without pay, for the purpose of
selecting and purchasing a site and constructing a High School
Building and providing heating apparatus and equipment
therefor, thirteen of said Committee to constitute a quorum and
the concurrence of ten to be necessary for the decision of all ques-
tions, which may arise in the performance of their duties, and
all vacancies in said Building Committee, whether from death
or refusal to act, resignation or otherwise to be filled by compe-
tent persons to be selected by the Board of County School Com-
missioners of Prince George's County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said Building Com-
mittee shall, as speedily as possible, select and purchase a suit-
able site for such building, and procure and adopt plans and
specifications for the construction of said High School Build-
ing, which shall be of brick or concrete, and the providing of
suitable heating apparatus therefor and as soon as said site
shall be purchased and said plans and specifications deter-
mined upon by said Building Committee they shall invite sealed
proposals by advertisement for a reasonable time, for the con-
struction and completion of said work, which proposals shall be
in sealed envelopes, addressed in the care of said Building Com-
mittee of the aforementioned High School, and shall be pub-
licly opened on the day and at the hour named in said adver-
tisement. Said proposals shall set forth the amount of money
for which the parties proposing will construct and complete
