be construed to release any person, persons, or corporation from
the payment of any taxes now owing by him, her, it or them
tp the Mayor and City Council of Ellicott City; nothing herein
contained shall affect the tenure of office of the present Mayor
and City Council of Ellicott City, who. by virtue of their elec-
tion, shall hold office until the Commissioners of Ellicott City are
duly elected and qualified; nothing herein contained shall be
construed in such a manner as to dissolve the corporation
known as the Mayor and City Council of Ellicott City, until
after the election and qualification of the Commissioners of
Ellicott City; and nothing herein contained shall be construed
in any manner so as to release any person, persons, corporation
or corporations from any debt or obligation now due by him,
her, it or them to the said Mayor and City Council of Ellicott
City; and the Commissioners of Ellicott City shall, by virtue of
this Act, succeed to all the rights, actions, choses in action,
suits, obligations, properties and effects of the corporation here-
tofore known as the Mayor and City Council of Ellicott City;
and all ordinances heretofore passed by said Mayor and City
Council shall continue in fullforce and effect as ordinances of
the Commissioners of Ellicott City in the same manner as though
duly passed by said Commissioners of Ellicott City.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 837.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 127-B and 127-C of Section 1 of
Chapter 374 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
of 1900, amending Article 12 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Garrett County," sub-title "Jurors," and to
add four Sections to said Articles 12 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, to follow Section 127-A, as added by the Act of
1900, Chapter 374, relating to the selection and drawing of
jurors as well as other matters concerning jurors for said
County, and to be known as Sections 127-B, 127-C, 127-D and
127-E.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the
State of Maryland, That Section 127-B and 127-C of Chapter
374 of the Acts of 1900, amending Article 12 of the Code of
