be derived shall be deposited by the Board of County Commis-
sioners in one or more banks of said County to the credit of
said Board, specially as County road funds. The total sum so
received shall be used as follows:

The Board of County Commissioners shall first deposit to
the credit of a separate account, to be known as the "Redemp-
tion and Interest Account" in some bank located in Prince
George's County a sum sufficient to meet the payment of prin-
cipal and interest on the bonds authorized under Sections 287
and 288 of this Article in order that the said bonds may be re-
deemed and cancelled and the interest thereon paid as pre-
scribed therein. They shall then put aside, as a general fund,
sufficient money to pay their own compensation for the duties
imposed upon them under this Act, which compensation shall
be $200.00 per year each, to pay the salary of the Clerk and
Secretary to the Board of Road Directors, which shall not be
more than $300.00 per year, to pay the salary of the six Road
Directors which shall be $840.00 per year each and to pay such
other amounts as may be otherwise properly payable by them
out of such fund, under the provisions of this Act, including
the rebate to incorporated towns. They shall then divide the
remainder of said money into six equal parts each of which
parts shall be thereafter devoted exclusively to one of the six
Road Districts and each of these parts shall be then appor-
tioned by them to the Election Districts or parts of Districts in
the Road District to which said part belongs, each Election
District receiving as nearly as possible the proportion of said
money which its road mileage bears to the total road mileage
of its Road District and after such apportionments are made
no portion of said money shall be diverted from the Election
District to which it has been apportioned. In case there shall
not be sufficient money available in any year to start work be-
fore the amount of the levy for such year is available, the Board
of County Commissioners are hereby authorized to use .any
surplus funds which they may have in and during the months
of March and April up to the sum of $10,000.00. In case such
funds are used the Board of County Commissioners shall repay
the same out of the first monies received from the road levy of
that year. Each Road Director shall be allowed to hire teams
for emergency work in his Road District, but shall not use in
this way an amount greater than $200.00, in any one year in
his entire Road District.
