SEC. 25. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved March 20th, 1914.

CHAPTER 114.

AN ACT to authorize the Commissioners of St. Mary's County to
pay the board of indigent patients in St. Mary's Hospital,
Leonardtown, Maryland.

Be it enacted, That the Commissioners of St. Mary's County,
Maryland, are hereby authorized and directed to levy and pay
to St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, Maryland, the sum of
fifty cents (50c.) per day for each and every indigent or free
patient placed in said Hospital by the County Commissioners
or their Clerk by their authority.

Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

Approved March 20th, 1914.

CHAPTER 115.

AN ACT to amend Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of the State of Maryland, title '' Dorchester County,'' sub-title
"County Commissioners," by adding a new Section thereto,
empowering the County Commissioners of Dorchester County
to levy for and appropriate, in their discretion, any sum or
sums of money not exceeding six hundred dollars for co-opera-
tive demonstration work in Dorchester County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Dorchester County," sub-title "County Commis-
sioners" be and the same is hereby amended by adding a new
Section thereto, to follow Section. 132 to be designated as Sec-
tion 132 A-1 and to read as follows:

SEC. 132 A-l. That the Board of County Commissioners of
Dorchester County may, and they are hereby empowered to
levy, appropriate, and use in their discretion, under such rules
and regulations as they may prescribe, any sum or sums of
money not exceeding Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00) per year
for farmers' co-operative demonstration work in Dorchester
