and the said County Commissionres are hereby authorized to
redeem and pay the same with interest, as expressed on their
face, where the same are outstanding, as soon as the finances
of the County will permit.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That an additional Section be
added to Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
'' Dorchester County,'' sub-title "County Commissioners, County
Treasurer and Collectors," to be designated as Section 121-I,
to follow immediately after Section 121-H, and to read as
follows:
SEC. 121-I. The County Commissioners of Dorchester County
whenever, in their discretion, they may deem it advisable and
proper, they are authorized to issue certificates of indebtedness
for the payment of: (1st) The maintenance and support of the
public schools in said county; and (2nd) for repairs and main-
tenance to the County Shell Roads and Bridges, and for no other
purpose whatsoever, bearing interest at the rate of not exceeding
six per centum (6%) per annum for the date of same, which
shall be endorsed upon the face of such certificates, and they
shall levy on the assessable property of the County liable to
taxation for the payment of said interest-bearing certificates in
like manner as by law other claims have been heretofore levied
for, provided, however, that all interest-bearing certificates is-
sued during any fiscal year shall be paid in full, within six
months from the expiration of such fiscal year, and that not
more than Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) shall be issued in
any one fiscal year.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT providing for the accurate indexing, by an improved
system, of certain Judgment Records of Dorchester County,
Maryland.
WHEREAS, The indices to the Judgment Records of Dorches-
ter County, Maryland, are inconvenient for reference and not
in keeping with modern and improved systems now in use in
other Counties in the First Judicil Circuit, and in other Coun-
