Act, and in their discretion, any voluntary donations or contri-
butions which may be made for such purposes.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That said County Commis-
sioners shall have power to include and make said sewer system
and said sewer district a part of any general system, or sanitary
plan or sanitary district, and to transfer the management and
maintenance and control thereof to any other authority or Com-
mission that may hereafter be created by law to manage and con-
trol such matters in and for Montgomery County or any part
thereof, and such transfer shall be by resolution to that effect
duly passed by said Commissioners and entered upon their
minutes.

SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 747.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 19 of
Article 43 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
title "Health," subtitle "State Registrar of Vital Statistics,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 19 of Article
43 of the Code of Public Geenral Laws of Maryland, title
"Health," sub-title "State Registrar of Vital Statistics," be
and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows:

SEC. 8. Each election district, city and incorporated town
shall constitute a registration district; provided, the State
Registrar may combine two or more registration districts in
any county into one registration district; provided the total
population of the districts so combined does not exceed one
hundred thousand. The County Registrar shall, with the advice
and consent of the Local Board of Health, designate a competent
person in each registration district, who shall act as local regis-
trar, and shall within the district for which he is appointed re-
ceive death, certificates and issue burial permits upon the same
and receive birth certificates and perform such other services
under this Act as the Local Board of Health may direct, pro-
vided that when, in the judgment of the State Registrar of Vital
