as a board of health on the first Wednesday of each month;
and provided further, that it shall be the duty of the health
officer of said Montgomery County, in addition to those duties
otherwise prescribed by law, in instances of contagion to fumi-
gate all school and other public buildings, the materials therefor
to be provided by said board of health, and provided further
that the salary as health officer for said Montgomery County
shall be $1,200 per annum. And provided further that the
health officer shall attend all indigent persons in the said County
suffering from contagious diseases.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the first Tuesday in May, 1914.

CHAPTER 743.
AN ACT requiring persons doing interior wiring in Montgomery
County to conform to the rules and regulations of the Na-
tional Fire Insurance Underwriters Association pertaining,
thereto, requiring such persons to take out an annual license
for said work, fixing the amount to be charged for said
license, providing for the expenditures of the proceeds de-
rived therefrom and fixing a penalty for violation of the pro-
visions of this Act.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That before any person or persons shall be qualified to do
interior electric wiring in Montgomery County he must first
secure from the Clerk of said County a license authorizing him
to do such work, and the fee for such license is hereby fixed at
the sum of five dollars; and said license shall be good for one
year from the date of its issue unless forfeited for violation of
some provision of this Act.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the rules and regu-
lations of the National Fire Insurance Underwriters Association
shall apply to all interior wiring done by any person or per-
sons within the limits of said County.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That any person doing
electric wiring within any house or building within said County
without first complying with the provisions of Section 1 of this
Act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction there-
of shall pay a fine of not less than ten dollars nor more than
