CHAPTER 88.

AN ACT to provide for transcribing one of the
Record Books in the office of the Register of
Wills for Allegany county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Register of Wills for Alle-
gany county be and he is hereby required to pro-
cure a new book, well bound for that purpose, and
to transcribe therein, in a fair, plain and legible
hand, all the matters recorded in "Death's Liber
B," one of the Record Books in the office of the
Register of Wills aforesaid, and to add thereto a
summary of returns made by executors and admin-
istrators, with a proper and suitable index to the
same; and said new book, when completed and
furnished, shall and is hereby declared to be sub-
stituted in the place and stead of the old one.

transcribing.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That upon completion
of the said book, as herein provided for, and upon
the approval and acceptance of the same by the Or-
phans' Court of said county, the Commissioners of
said county shall levy for the use of said Register,
as other charges are now levied, such a sum of
money as the said transcribing and entries shall
amount to, at the rate now allowed by law to
Registers for recording, entering and indexing
similar matters.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect immediately after its passage.
