said place repaired within fifteen days after the
aforesaid fine shall have been laid, then the said
Judge of said court, shall in the session of said
court or in the recess thereof, on application, pro-
ceed to fine the President, Directors and Company
aforesaid in his discretion, not exceeding two hun-
dred dollars, for the use of the county, under the
direction of the County Commissioners of said
county.

CHAPTER 87.

 

AN ACT to make valid a deed from Joseph Trem-
ble and William C. Haveland, trustees, to Re-
becca Smith.

Passed March
4, 1861.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the deed from Joseph Trem-
ble and William C. Haveland, trustees of the So-
ciety of Friends, constituting the Forest Meeting
in Harford county, to Rebecca Smith, of said coun-
ty, conveying the northren half of the lot whereon
the Forest Meeting House now stands, lying and
being in the said county of Harford, executed on
the fourteenth day of the fourth month in the year
eighteen hundred and fifty-eight, and which was
recorded on the same day among the Land Records
of Harford county in Liber A. L. J., number nine,
folio four hundred and fifty-two, be and the same
is hereby declared to be as valid and effectual in
law to pass the estate in said deed mentioned as if
the trustees executing the same had been then
legally authorized to do so.

Deed made
Talid.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from, the date of its passage.
