shall, in its discretion, have power to stay by in-
junction any proceedings on the part of the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore, to enforce payment
of the claims intended to be provided for by this act,
which may embarrass the execution of this act.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That any sale, mort-
gage or lease made according to the provisions of
this act, shall bind and conclude all titles and in-
terests which may be derived under the last will of
the said Solomon Betts, deceased.

take effect from the day of the passage thereof.

AN ACT authorizing the Commissioners of Mont-
gomery county to remove the prisoners in said
county to the jail of Frederick county.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Commissioners of Mont-
f gomery county, be and they are hereby authorized
to cause the Sheriff of Montgomery county to re-
move the prisoners now in his custody, or who may
be hereafter in his custody, to the custody of the
Sheriff of Frederick county, and it is hereby made
the duty of the Sheriff of Frederick county to re-
ceive said prisoners, and that the said Sheriff of
Frederick county, shall be and he is authorized to
employ a watchman to guard said jail, if in his
judgment such a guard is deemed necessary, and
the salary for such guard shall be levied, collected
and paid to said Sheriff by the County Commis-
sioners of Frederick and Montgomery counties re-

that the salary of said watchman shall not exceed
