such watchman shall cease on the completion and
occupancy of the jail in Montgomery county.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Com-
missioners for Montgomery county shall levy, col-
lect and pay to the Sheriff of Frederick county,
twenty-five cents per day for each prisoner com-
mitted to the jail of Frederick county under the
provisions of this act, and such other fees as are
allowed by laws in such cases to said Sheriff.

AN ACT to further amend the charter of the As-
sociated Firemans Insurance Company of the
city of Baltimore.

WHEREAS, The city of Baltimore having estab-
lished a Paid Steam Fire Department, and the
Volunteers Fire Department being about to dis-
band, it becomes necessary to provide for the
election of directors on the part of the stockhold-
ers at large in the Associated Firemans Insur-
ance Company in the city of Baltimore, instead
of as at present by the stockholders in the re-
spective fire companies composing the Volunteer
Fire Department; Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That so much of the ninth sec-
tion, of the act passed December session eighteen
hundred and forty-six, chapter three hundred and
fifty-two, entitled, An act to incorporate the Presi-
dent and Directors of the Associated Fire Insur-
ance Company in the city of Baltimore, and to re-
peal the act therein mentioned, as limits the hold-
ing of stock to members of a fire company in the
city of Baltimore, be and the same is hereby
repealed.
