AN ACT to extend the charter of the Washing-
ton County Bank at Williamsport, Washington
county, and its several supplements, and the act
authorizing said Bank to establish an office of
Discount and Deposit in Hagerstown, in said
county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the act of incorporation of the
Washington County Bank at Williamsport in
Washington county, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty-one, chapter one hun-
dred and thirty-three, and the several supplements
thereto, and also the act passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and thirty-two, chapter
ninety-eight, being an act to amend and explain
said act of incorporation, and the act passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-four,
chapter one hundred and seventy-four, entitled,
An act to authorize the Washington County Bank
to establish an office of Discount and Deposit in
Hagerstown in Washington county, with the ex-
ception of such parts of said acts of Assembly as
are or may be inconsistent with the provisions of
this act, be and the same are hereby extended and
continued in force until the first day of January,
in the year one thousand eight hundred and eigh-
ty, and until the end of the next session of the
General Assembly thereafter.

Bank shall
continue to pay
to the Treas
urer, annually
twenty cents
on every hun-
dred dollars
paid in.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Bank
shall continue to pay or cause to be paid to the
Treasurer of the State of Maryland annually, dur-
ing the time aforesaid, the sum of twenty cents on
every hundred dollars of the capital stock of said
Bank actually paid in as provided in the seven-
teenth section of said act of incorporation of eigh-
teen hundred and thirty-one, chapter one hundred
and thirty-three, to be applied to the purpose in
said section expressed.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the said Bank
shall be subject to such restrictions and enjoy the
same privileges in regard to the issue of its Bank
notes, and the denominations thereof as are or may
