Redder, Sheriff of Caroline county, for costs due
by the State, the accounts to be adjusted by the
Comptroller, on the exhibition of the proper
vouchers ; and to the Keeper of the Chancery
Records for extra clerks hire and office expenses,
and bin'ding dockets, one hundred and seventy
dollars, eighty-eight cents, to January twenty-
first, eighteen hundred sixty-two ; three hundred
twenty-five dollars and twenty-five cents, tp pay
the following advertising bills : J. H. Emerson,
Editor American Union, fifty-eight dollars ; Wil-
liam H. Bowdle, Editor Cambridge Herald, thirty
dollars, seventy-five cents ; King and Downs, Ed-
itor Saint Mary's Beacon, fifty-four dollars, twen-
ty-five cents ; J. Leeds Barroll, Editor Kent Con-
servator, eleven dollars ; John Cox, Editor South-
ern AEgis, five dollars ; B. Everett Smith, Editor
Worcester County Shield, fifty-three dollars ; F.
H. Houston, Editor Social Journal, sixteen dollars,
fifty cents ; John H. Thompson, Editor Centre-
ville Times, fifty-eight dollars, seventy-five cents;
Levin L. Waters, Editor Somerset Union, fourteen
dollars ; John T. Hand, Editor Maryland Citizen,
twenty dollars ; provided, that the Comptroller
shall find that the advertisements were properly
authorized, and the amounts charged are correct ;
for Edwin M. Shipley, four hundred dollars for
making Catalogue of the State Library ; for J. A.
Dushane, nine hundred and thirty-eight dollars
for binding the Laws and Journals of the Extra
Session of the Legislature held at Frederick ; for
James S. Waters, one hundred and eight dollars,
seventy-five cents, for sundries for use of the
Librarian ; for Robert F. Bonsai, one hundred
sixty-eight dollars for printing the Catalogue for
the Librarian ; for C. A. S. Wolf, twenty dollars
for repairing clock in the Court of Appeals.

Sums appro-
priated.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
