hundred dollars, for legal services rendered by
order of the Governor, in" the prosecution of Solo-
mon Wilson, for the murder of John Bradshaw.

Sec. 3. That the Comptroller be and is hereby
directed to issue his warrant upon the Treasurer,
to pay William H. Dallam, or his order, one hun-
dred dollars, for legal services rendered by order
of the Governor, in the case of the State versus
A. L. Jarrett and Sprigg Harwood.
Sec. 4. That the Comptroller be and is hereby
directed to issue his warrant upon the Treasurer,
to pay Henry Stockbridge, or his order, one hun-
dred dollars, for expenses incurred and services
rendered by order of the Governor, in the recovery
of the State arms.

Sums appro-
priated.

Sec. 5. That this act shall take effect from the
date of its passage.

CHAPTER 233.

 

AN ACT to compensate Thomas S. Alexander for
professional services rendered by him, under ap-
pointment by the Governor, in the Circuit Court
for Harford county, sitting in equity, and in the
Court of Appeals, in the case of the State of
Maryland vs. A. Lingan Jarrett and Sprigg
Harwood.

10, 1862.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is
hereby directed to issue his warrant on the Trea-
surer to pay Thomas S. Alexander, or his order,
the sum of four hundred dollars for professional
services rendered by him, under appointment of the
Governor, in the Circuit Court for Harford county,
sitting in equity, and in the Court of Appeals, in
the case of the State of Maryland against A. Lin-
gan Jarrett and Sprigg Harwood.

Sum appro-
priated, &c.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the passage thereof.
