LAWS OF MARYLAND.
CHAPTER 234.

Passed March
10, 1862.

AN ACT to amend an act to provide for the erec-
tion of a Hospital for the Insane in this State,

Governor au-
thorized to ap-
point Commis-
sioners.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Governor be and he is here-
by authorized to appoint five persons who shall
act as Commissioners in accordance with the pro-
visions of an act passed in eighteen hundred and
fifty-two, chapter- three hundred and two, in the
place of R. S. Stewart, Benjamin C. Howard,
Richard Potts, Washington Duvall and Cathell
Humphreys, the Commissioners named in said act
of eighteen hundred and fifty-two ; and the said
R. S. Stewart, Benjamin C. Howard, Richard
Potts, Washington Duvall and Cathell Hum-
phreys, be and they are hereby directed to, hand
over to such persons as may be appointed by the
Governor, all books, papers, accounts, monies and
other property in their hands for the purposes of
said trust, whenever application shall be made
therefor by their successors.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, This act to take effect
from the date of its passage.

 

CHAPTER 235.

Passed March
6, 1862.

AN ACT to amend section two hundred and two of
Article thirty of the Code of Public General
Laws, relating to Crimes and Punishments, by
defining Treason, and providing for the punish-
ment of Treason and other kindred offences.

Repealed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That section two hundred and
two of Article thirty of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws be and the same is hereby repealed, and
