AN ACT for the relief of Edward Hammond for-
mer Collector of the Second Collection District
of Anne Arundel county.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Edward Hammond, former
Collector of the Second Collection District of Anne
Arundel county, and the sureties upon his official
bond, be and they are hereby released from the
|

leased.
|
payment of the interest on the State's claim against
said Hammond ; provided, the amount due the
State, for principal of said claim, shall be paid in-
to the Treasury within ten days from the passage
of this act.
|
Proviso.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.
|

AN ACT to amend the seventh section of the
twenty-second article of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, relating to the office of the Comptrol-
ler.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the seventh section of the
twenty-second Article of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, be and the same is hereby amended
and re-enacted so as to be read as follows :

7. The Comptroller shall keep his office in the
building now occupied by him in the city of An-
napolis, until otherwise provided by law.
|
